Billing
You may be eligible for medical benefits through insurance (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield or other private insurance companies). In the event that our services are not covered by your health insurance, you are responsible for payment at the time of service for all charges including deductibles, co-pays, tests and procedures.
We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and debit cards. If your insurance does not cover a medical procedure, other financing options may be available. Please contact our office at 541-842-2020 if you need additional information.
Important Notice: Good Days Chronic Disease Fund – Lack of Funding for 2025
In previous years, patients with Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans were often eligible for financial assistance through the Good Days program—a national non-profit organization that helped offset coinsurance costs for medically necessary injections based on financial need.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding for 2025, Good Days is currently unable to provide assistance to all eligible patients.
As a result, unless additional funding becomes available, patients will be responsible for their coinsurance amounts at the time of service. As a participating Medicare provider, Retina Care Center is legally required to collect any unmet deductible and coinsurance amounts for Medicare and Medicare Advantage beneficiaries.
We understand the importance of consistent treatment for retinal conditions. If you are unable to afford your coinsurance, please do not skip your appointment—there may be alternative resources or treatment options available. We encourage you to speak with our billing team if you have concerns.
Financing
If your insurance does not cover all the costs for a medical service or procedure, CareCredit offers financing options such as a NO INTEREST payment plan or an extended LOW FIXED INTEREST payment plan every time you use it. Most credit cards only offer special or low interest plans for short periods or upon sign up. Visit CareCredit's website to learn more and apply.
Assistance Programs
Retina Care Center participates with the following financial assistance programs. These independent public charities may be able to provide assistance with costs associated with your medical treatment.
We encourage you to contact these charities directly and investigate any financial help that may be available to you.
