Ocular Trauma

Trauma can affect the eye in a wide variety of ways, and a thorough examination is important to identify any changes that may have occurred. Surgery of the retina and vitreous may be needed for complications such as a retinal detachment, dislocation of the lens, intraocular foreign body, or an infection within the eye. Depending on the type of trauma, our physicians can coordinate additional care with other eye specialists, emergency room physicians, and trauma surgeons.
